The home side's bonus-point win was their fourth in four starts to maintain their strangle-hold on the top of the South Section, having scored a maximum of 20 log points.
DHL Western Province were out of the blocks in a flash when Chad Solomon (hooker) darted over in the first minute with Abner van Reenen adding the two points to give the home side an early 7-0 lead after only two minutes.
Golden Masimla was on the scoreboard shortly after the midway mark in the first stanza, rounding off a good move from Province with Van Reenen converting again but not after Brendon Mandivenga had opened the visitors tally with his first penalty.
The first half was finished off well with a well-worked forwards movement that saw Johan du Toit (flanker) barge his way over in the corner which resulted in Van Reenen pushing his conversion attempt wide of the mark, leaving the hosts 19-3 in front at the break.
The first 20 minutes of the second stanza was dominated by a whole host of rolling substitutions but Province managed to secure their bonus-point with their fourth try, again by Masimla. Van Reenen's convertion put the match beyond doubt.
DHL WP sealed the result when, midway through the second half, left wing Edwill van der Merwe raced away down the line to score try number five, leaving the visitors a massive 30 points adrift after Van Reenen slotted his fourth conversion of the afternoon.
But credit must go to the Zim Academy side who did not give up as Jafnos Chiwanza (fullback) finished off an impressive movement, slotting in with the backline to score his side's only five-pointer of the day 12 minutes from time. Mandivenga slotted the extra two points and moments later, added his second penalty goal of the day.
