Ferreira left South Africa two seasons ago to join former Springbok assistant coach Johann van Graan at the side.
Ferreira was part of the coaching staff when the Xerox Golden Lions won the Currie Cup in 2015, and when the Emirates Lions reached back-to-back Vodacom Super Rugby finals in 2016 and 2017 respectively.
He continued to make his mark at Munster, where they held the best defensive record in the Guinness PRO14 as well as the tightest defence in the pool stages of the European Champions Cup for the past two seasons.
Ferreira and Van Graan were recently joined by newly-appointed backline coach, former Australian international, Stephen Larkham, while former England prop, Graham Rowntree, joined the team’s High Performance Centre in Limerick.
Munster are currently level with fellow Irish side Connacht at the top of Conference B in the Guinness PRO14 after registering three wins in their opening four matches.
