Weekly Zoom interviews will be hosted on Thursday nights throughout August from 19h30-20h30.
The series will kick off on Thursday 6 August when chairman of the Players’ Fund and former Springbok captain Jean de Villiers will be interviewing Springbok Women’s captain, Babalwa Latsha and Springbok Women's Sevens captain, Zintle Mpupha. Jeremy Harris will be the MC and guests are invited to sign up through Quicket.
The following week (Thursday 13 August) will see the two-time winner of the Rugby World Cup, the former Springbok PR manager, Annelee Murray and her good friend Zelda la Grange, former PA to President Nelson Mandela.
Together they will be sharing stories from their memories behind the scenes and a friendship that has been forged alongside the game of rugby.
Speakers planned for the following two weeks will focus on; firstly, what it takes to bring up strong, caring and respectful sons within a rugby family and then secondly, the inside line on what it is like for female players, referees and members of the support team who share the love and passion with the rugby nation.
The Chris Burger Petro Jackson Players’ Fund has partnered with BrightRock to produce the series.
The Players’ Fund remain a phone call away and a vital member of the team behind every rugby player whose life was changed on the field and invite you to sit back and relax in the comfort of your own home and indulge in a side of rugby which we are rarely exposed to.
