Starting at only R50 for a package of four “family and friends” tickets, or R25 for individual tickets, the pricing allows as many people as possible the opportunity to see six of the best women’s teams on the planet in action. Tickets are sold per round, meaning they are valid for three matches over two days, and are only available on the Ticketmaster website.
The line-up includes the Springbok Women, as well as USA, Scotland, Italy, Samoa and Japan. The tournament kicks off on Friday, 13 October at the Danie Craven Stadium in Stellenbosch, with matches also taking place at Athlone Stadium in Cape Town – full fixtures available here.
Festivities on match days are expected to carry on beyond the field with food stalls, live music, and a children’s village to keep your little ones entertained.
“We wanted to create a family-friendly environment to enjoy top-class international rugby at this very exciting new tournament created by World Rugby,” said Rian Oberholzer, CEO of SA Rugby.
“The Springbok Women don’t often play in South Africa, so this is an ideal opportunity to get behind our players and cheer them on as they take on Scotland, Italy and Samoa.
“We’re also thrilled to host USA, winners of the historic first Rugby World Cup in 1991 and runners up at the two global tournaments since. Like Italy, they also featured in the quarter-finals of the World Cup held in New Zealand last year.”
